another entry in the here in nowhere series. this video brings us to number 10! i have decided to name sunglasses guy "sunny". my friend DilbertHVA (on twitter) voice acted the other character, MEM.

i've been considering making these 10 videos into a compilation. if i did, i'd need to add some little interstitial shots between shorts i think. youtube putting ads between the videos on the playlist is the worstttttt. and i don't even get any entertainment sphere fuel (money) from them. 

 this video i wanted to work on the eye trace or whatever it's called between cuts. i was rewatching my something's up video and noticed that some cuts feel really jank. i think this video feels better in that department. also this video i learned that i pretty much have to use the defocus node instead of camera DOF. eevee doesn't play well with mist, motion blur, and depth of field.

anyways it will probably take a hypothetical reader of this post longer to read this all then to watch the video. so watch the videooooooo!

Walking with Ambient: Music for Airports.

 I want to write in this blog more because I wish to write more in general. I keep track of when I walk along to ambient music on my rate your music . Normally the entries are only one sentence long, but I think this could be a good opportunity to write what is on my mind more. Here's the entry:   5/8/25. I took a walk and listened to Brian Eno's Music for Airports. A friend reminded me that it's been a while since I had done this last. I wanted something under an hour- a lot of ambient stuff spills out to luxurious lengths, and I didn't wish to walk that long. I started walking at sunset, going up and down a hill, down to a park, and then looped back on a different road back home. Track 1/1: This accompanied me up and down the hill. on an artist's statement

As far as I know, It's sometimes expected of artists to explain themselves using an artist statement. To write something that explains them, their process, their topics, their worldview etc. I always thought that was weird. "Here's me- in a paragraph!". As of tonight, however, I think I can understand the value of this. I've always wrestled with my own image. I feel like I'm not how I picture myself. I can't tell you what I imagine myself to be, but I can tell you that I have a hard time accepting the way I am. To sum it up, I feel like I can't believe my own actions. They feel contrived- my speech patterns, my thoughts, my actions.  But all of those things are me, as crazy as it seems. There is no "second level" me waiting to be surfaced, a total transformation of myself. Instead, I simply am the person other people see.
