Hello! As I flounder between things I want to do and things I have to do, I have decided to add to my website. In doing so I have discovered: 

Personal websites are awesome!

Being able to customize stuff and curate stuff really is just fantastic. I think that personal websites should replace all social medias. 

So far, I've added a pictures section, favorites section, and questions section. The questions section is inspired by bill wurtz's site and the favorites by tevis thompson. I'm a little unsure about the questions section as it's set up in a super awkward way right now. 

Sidenote- when I was listing my favorite movies I was struggling because there are a lot of movies I like but it's so hard to say which ones are should go on the list. So take that list as only a partial picture.

Anyways. Personal websites are cool, everyone should have one, etc.

on an artist's statement

As far as I know, It's sometimes expected of artists to explain themselves using an artist statement. To write something that explains them, their process, their topics, their worldview etc. I always thought that was weird. "Here's me- in a paragraph!". As of tonight, however, I think I can understand the value of this. I've always wrestled with my own image. I feel like I'm not how I picture myself. I can't tell you what I imagine myself to be, but I can tell you that I have a hard time accepting the way I am. To sum it up, I feel like I can't believe my own actions. They feel contrived- my speech patterns, my thoughts, my actions.  But all of those things are me, as crazy as it seems. 2025 and DAYLOG SONGS

2025 is off to a bad start. I'm pretty wrecked by the world, which seems at odds with my understanding of "good". It's hard to be motivated to do anything. I have to do stuff anyways. Today, I released the DAYLOG SONGS 2024 album or EP or whatever. Each month I took a phrase from the previous, wrote a short song, and made a video. It started way quicker than it ended- Especially the songs, which were tweaked on and off for about a week sometimes. Here's assorted thoughts: Most of the songs are from negative thoughts! I used these songs to cope, I guess. The saddest song is "what's to say?" I think the dominant mood of the project is Wistful. The first four songs are kind of a lie- I wrote those and made videos for those all in the month of April, I think. I only realized this was a good idea around then. At least I started before halfway through the year! There was no overarching genre or style of music- I did what I felt like, similar to SPLIT WHOLE...

marbles

marbles roll- we all know that.             where do they roll? around. where ever they can roll. they will not sit still if they have to. maybe i should learn something from them... to be specific- they always try to go towards the ground.
